SUNSET SPEEDWAY WEEKEND REVIEW

First it was time to go out and get em muddy

It was great to see my wife jump behind the wheel of the 51

...and a few shots of the PRO4s muddin in

Dave Wesolowski in the number 11

Zac Ferrando in the number 42

Mike Tillitt in the number 77

Larry Prichard in the number 66

Jason Wesolowski in the number 3

Dave Davis in the number 4

The last 2008 PRO4 pit area

Brittons number 22 with a bit of mud.

Number 51 sitting in the shade.

Andy and Mike T. fiddling with the number 77.

Nice group shot with Larry and company.

Then the first race of the night: The Trophy Dash.

Congratulations to Dave Davis on his TD victory

After that: Heat Race

Clean racing that even got three wide!

In the end I could not hold off Jason and Britton from the pole position as they charged to the front but it was one of the best races Ive been in. Jason splitting the 42 and myself for the lead and finally getting a chance to go up against Dave made for point blank great competition.
Congratulations to Jason Wesolowski on his HR victory

MAIN EVENT: 25 Laps of PRO4 Season Ending Action!

Start to finish some of the best racing yet!

They lined us up and got ready to go!

Waiting at the track entrance ready to go!

A CHAMPIONSHIP IS DECIDED!

Britton Donahoo grabbed the main event checkered flag
and the 2008 PRO4 Series Championship.

Hold that trophy high.

Now give me that thing! I kept up but keeping up does not get you the victory

The trophy and the trophy girl photo.

...but that was not the end!

The 1st annual BOXER 400 was about to start!

After we trailered the cars and got some grub and several adult beverages my challenge was about to met by a worthy combatant.

First some preperation which consisted of dropping trou and grabbing our helmets and gear. Remember kids SAFETY FIRST!

It was time to head to the starting line.

On your mark. Get set. GO!

Britton tried to take the low line going into one.

But a quick shove into the infield stopped that buisness.

The track workers helped get Britton back on his way.

But I was long gone and going into three headed for the checkers.

Britton may have won the series and the main on this year ending night.
But I took home the trophy for the BOXER 400!

...and with that two great competitors ended their racing for 2008.
